Job Description
Job Title: Florist Intern
Department: Florist at The Savoy
Inspired and supported by: Creative Floral Design Manager
Temporary Work: 5th of October 2026 to 8th of January 2027
Salary: Minimum wage + service charge
Your purpose will be:
- To be responsible for exceeding our guest expectations on a day-to-day basis within our Florist department.
- Assisting with daily tasks with retail shop, workroom, online orders and guest communication

- To ensure the flower shop and department meets the hotel brand & 5-star luxury standards.
- To ensure all guest flower requests are met with professional service.
- To take ownership of any guest request encountered to completion.
- To prepare all guest order requests as a priority and deliver to guest rooms.
- To ensure display stands are up to standard daily including pricing in flower shop.
- To assist with our guest orders as direct contact in a polite and helpful manner with genuine interest
- To ensure guests are charged through our POS system.
- To ensure all guest requests have a trace, alert and preference on profile updated.
- To be passionate, creative and encourage all upsell and revenue opportunities.
- To ensure stock levels are maintained, organised and monitored.
- To assist Savoy Flowers Team with adhoc duties as required, especially at peak times
- To work in a clean and tidy manner, clearing away things you are no longer using.
- Keep the floors clean and dry to avoid any slips or falls.
- To maintain and clean retail areas in the shop
- To maintain amicable and co-operative working relations with other departments.
- To comply with all Food Hygiene and Safety legislation, using working practices that are safe and sensible to your colleagues and to yourself.
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when the situation arises.
- To carry out additional tasks as instructed and by reasonable request from the leadership team.
- Adhere to all Savoy policies and procedures as outlined by the hotel.
- Be an active colleague of the Savoy team in our mission of ‘Turning Moments into Memories’ for our guests.

Qualifications
What you will need to do in this role?
- 1 year experience in Luxury London Retail or Hospitality Industry.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal.
- A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
- Proven organizational skills, works well on their own. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Applicable job related skills as per Accountable Duties
