FLT Bendi/Flexi Driver

Permanent / Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Hinckley

Salary: £31,393 per annum

Contract: Permanent position / Fixed-Term Contract available

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm

Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Bendi/Flexi Driver to join a successful and growing business based in Hinckley.

This is a hands-on and varied warehouse role, with the successful candidate spending a significant proportion of their working day operating a Bendi/Flexi FLT. The role will also involve operating a Counterbalance FLT, together with supporting Goods In, Goods Out, order picking, stock movements and general warehouse duties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely unloading trailers, moving pallets and stock, putting goods away and maintaining an organised and efficient warehouse operation. When not operating an FLT, you will support the wider warehouse team with picking, scanning, labelling, stock control and despatch activities. There may also be opportunities to carry out local deliveries using the company van when required.

FLT Bendi/Flexi Driver – Key Responsibilities

  • Operating Bendi/Flexi FLT equipment safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
  • Operating Counterbalance FLT equipment when required.
  • Unloading trailers and incoming deliveries.
  • Moving, handling and storing pallets and stock safely.
  • Putting stock away in designated warehouse locations.
  • Checking incoming goods for damage, shortages or discrepancies.
  • Completing Goods In and Goods Out duties.
  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
  • Loading goods safely and securely for despatch.
  • Using handheld scanners and internal systems to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Printing labels and preparing goods for despatch.
  • Maintaining accurate warehouse records and paperwork.
  • Carrying out local deliveries using the company van when required.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Following all company health and safety procedures and FLT operating requirements.
  • Supporting colleagues with general warehouse duties as required.

FLT Bendi/Flexi Driver – Requirements

  • Previous experience operating a Bendi/Flexi FLT – essential.
  • Valid Counterbalance (C/B) FLT licence – essential.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience.
  • Good understanding of warehouse and FLT safety procedures.
  • Confident and competent operating FLT equipment in a busy warehouse environment.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to work safely and efficiently as part of a busy warehouse team.
  • Comfortable carrying out both FLT driving and general warehouse duties.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to use initiative and take responsibility for completing tasks.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to support the wider warehouse operation.
  • Full UK driving licence desirable due to the local delivery element of the role.
