FLT Driver (Counterbalance) – Unilever Leeds

We are seeking experienced FLT Drivers to join our client’s manufacturing facility in Seacroft, Leeds. You will play a key role in supporting the production and distribution of world-renowned personal care products, ensuring efficient material intake and dispatch of finished goods.

Key Details:

  • Location: 96 Coal Road, Seacroft, Leeds, LS14 2AR.
  • Pay: £17.64 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (2 days 07:00–19:00, 2 nights 19:00–07:00, then 4 days off)
  • Assessment: Successful candidates will complete an FLT assessment and health screening, including drugs & alcohol testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate FLT Counterbalance trucks
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Move stock and materials across warehouse and production areas
  • Store stock accurately within designated locations
  • Complete daily FLT safety checks and report defects
  • Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant paperwork/system transactions
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and site rules
  • Support general warehouse duties as required
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free
  • Work safely alongside Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), pedestrians, and warehouse traffic
  • Maintain high attention to detail and situational awareness in a fast-paced environment
  • Report hazards, near misses, and safety concerns promptly

Requirements:

  • Valid, accredited FLT Counterbalance licence (ITSSAR, RTITB, or similar)—in-house licences are unfortunately not accepted
  • At least 12 months’ FLT experience in a warehouse/logistics environment
  • Minimum 1 year remaining on FLT licence
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to Health & Safety and safe working practices
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially around AGVs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, flexible, and proactive attitude
