About The Role
We are seeking a talented Flutter Developer to join our dedicated development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that support our fleet management solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Customer Experience, and Product Management, to deliver high-quality, user-centric mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app development, with proven experience in Flutter and Dart, and a passion for creating intuitive and reliable applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to innovative projects, and grow your technical expertise within a supportive team.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience, including a minimum of 1 year working with Flutter and Dart.
- Strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart, with familiarity in state management approaches such as Riverpod.
- Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and platform-specific guidelines for iOS and Android.
- Experience with RESTful API integration and consumption.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control.
- Knowledge of mobile app testing methodologies, including unit and widget testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Legal work authorization in the United Kingdom and a full clean driving license with access to a car.
- Based within a 1-hour commute of Cirencester GL7 6BQ.
- BPSS security clearance or willingness to undergo the process.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Scrum development team to design, implement, and optimize mobile solutions that meet business requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Flutter/Dart code with minimal supervision.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within existing mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and widget tests to ensure code quality and app reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and sharing best practices across the team.
- Contribute to mobile app architecture discussions and support colleagues in QA processes.
- Work closely with IT and Customer Experience teams to provide technical guidance, support, and troubleshooting expertise.
- Investigate and resolve bugs reported by customers or team members, maintaining clear communication of progress to stakeholders.
- Create and update technical documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance efforts.
- Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in mobile development to ensure continuous improvement.
- Operate proactively within the Scrum team, contributing to other activities and initiatives as needed.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Provide feedback to management regarding workload, technical challenges, and project progress.
- Propose innovative solutions and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, service levels, and legislative requirements.

Benefits
Joining FleetCheck offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal well-being. The role provides a competitive salary in the range of £45,000 to £55,000 per year, commensurate with experience. You will enjoy a 37.5-hour workweek, with 25 days of holiday that increase to 28 days with service, along with an additional Friday holiday each month. Our benefits include contributory pension schemes, team-building events, employee support resources, and access to mental health first aiders. We also provide free parking at our Kemble office. Our flexible hybrid working arrangement allows you to work in the office from Monday to Wednesday, with the option to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays, subject to agreement with your line manager.
