About The Role:

Working Days: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Main Purpose:

Responsible for the safe, compliant, profitable and effective delivery of Hard FM services across the account. The role will lead the operational team, manage client relationships, maintain financial control and ensure contractual and performance requirements are achieved.

The FM Account Manager will also support minor works and project activity where required, ensuring works are coordinated effectively with live operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management and performance of the Hard FM account.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through periods of organisational change.
  • Act as the key operational contact for the client, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, manage and develop the site team, ensuring clear accountability, effective performance management, coaching and succession planning.
  • Ensure planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, compliantly and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor PPM performance, WIP, open work orders, statutory compliance and associated labour and material costs.
  • Manage account budgets, forecasts, operational expenditure and financial performance, with a clear understanding of P&L and commercial risk.
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality, compliance, value and performance.
  • Produce and maintain clear operational, financial and KPI reporting for internal and client review.
  • Identify risks, service improvements, efficiencies and opportunities for additional works or account growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant ISO standards.
  • Support minor works, lifecycle and run some of the project activity, ensuring works are delivered safely, within budget and with minimal impact on live operations.
  • Maintain effective use of CAFM/CMMS systems, asset information and maintenance records.
  • Clear experience of project delivery and change management responsibility.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Proven Hard FM, engineering or technical services management experience in Engineering Operations, preferably FMCG or Technical Services leadership.
  • Strong account or contract management capability.
  • Demonstrable people management and team leadership experience.
  • Good financial and commercial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
  • Strong understanding of building services, statutory compliance and operational risk.
  • Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex operational environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences or another regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting minor works, refurbishment, infrastructure or capital projects.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and CAFM/CMMS systems.
  • Relevant engineering, FM, IOSH, NEBOSH or safety qualification.
