Contract Manager – Facilities Management
West Midlands | £55,944 - £63,522 per annum
Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional looking to lead the client-side management of a critical FM contract within a large and complex public sector environment?
We are seeking a Contract Manager – Facilities Management to oversee a major Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract, ensuring suppliers consistently deliver high-quality services, strong performance and excellent value for money.
About the Role
This is a senior facilities management position with responsibility for contract performance, supplier management, service improvement and stakeholder engagement across a diverse operational estate.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key FM contracts
- Monitor service delivery against agreed KPIs and SLAs
- Drive continuous improvement
- Ensure contractors are held accountable for performance and customer outcomes
- Work closely with senior leaders, commercial teams and finance colleagues
- Provide strategic oversight of service delivery, contract governance and operational performance
- Lead a small specialist facilities management team

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the client-side management of a high-value Total Facilities Management contract
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations
- Chair performance review meetings and drive service improvements
- Manage escalations relating to facilities management service delivery
- Produce management information and performance reports for senior stakeholders
- Work with finance and procurement colleagues to ensure value for money
- Support business continuity and resilience planning
- Lead, develop and motivate a specialist facilities management team
- Contribute to the wider strategic development of the Estates and Facilities function
About You
We are looking for candidates with:

- IWFM Level 4 (or equivalent) or FM Practitioner qualification
- Significant experience managing outsourced FM contracts
- Strong contract management, supplier performance and service assurance experience
- Knowledge of building maintenance, statutory compliance and health & safety
- Experience managing KPIs, SLAs and operational performance
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Ability to analyse performance data and translate it into meaningful action
Package
- Salary: £55,944 - £63,522 per annum
- Location: West Midlands
- Working Pattern: Agile and flexible working arrangements available
- Requirements: Full UK driving licence
