Location: HMP Dovegate, Uttoxeter, ST14 8XR
Salary: £26,509.50 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time 40 Hours per week, working Monday – Friday 8am - 4.30pm

As an FM Escort Officer in our HMP Dovegate Facilities Management team, you’ll help ensure contractors can carry out essential work safely and securely within the establishment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining safety, security, and operational standards while supporting the wider Facilities Management team.

By enabling vital maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects to take place safely, you’ll help create an environment that supports rehabilitation, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. What you’ll do as an FM Escort Officer
- Escort contractors throughout the establishment, ensuring they work safely and in line with security procedures.
- Account for and manage contractors, equipment, and tools at all times, including arrival and departure checks.
- Support the Facilities Management team with routine maintenance and multi-trade activities appropriate to your skills, experience, and training.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all relevant paperwork is distributed to the appropriate individuals.
- Carry out inspections of external areas to ensure they remain clean, tidy, safe, secure, and presentable.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders while supporting continuous improvement across Facilities Management activities.

Vetting and checks:
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
