Job Description:
We have a key role available, to join the Property Infrastructure & Estates (PI&E) team at Leonardo Helicopters UK. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective, compliant and sustainable delivery of contract performance and governance across the PI&E part of the business.
Your Impact
You will provide strong governance and oversight of the PI&E service as an intelligent customer, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, LDO UK and LHUK policies, procedures and standards. Through effective governance, performance management, integrated management systems and continuous improvement, you will drive value, operational performance and long-term sustainability across the service.
Working closely with our external supply chain partners, you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality contract and governance solutions that meet the needs of the business. You will leverage supplier expertise and best practice to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions while maintaining a strong focus on service quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across Leonardo’s Divisions to develop, maintain and continuously improve the contractor Technical Specifications, ensuring they remain aligned with business requirements, industry best practice and all relevant compliance standards.
This is an influential role that sits at the heart of PI&E governance and its Centre of Excellence, providing the leadership, collaboration and commercial focus needed to deliver a safe, compliant, high-performing and sustainable service across Leonardo Helicopters UK.

What you will do as the FM Manager – Contract Performance & Governance:
Financial Management
- Responsible for the generation, assurance and coordination, with Infrastructure Projects, of a rolling 5 Year Infrastructure Capital & Operational Investment Plan that captures the business investment needs for Mandatory, Maintenance and Strategic projects required to provide compliance and support the achievement of the Divisional business objectives.
- Coordinate the Infrastructure Capital & Operational Investment Plan to ensure minimum business disruption and maximum value for money.
- Responsible for the assessment and analysis of PI&E contract, project and lifecycle spend, ensuring all related activities are delivered within the approved budget.
Governance, Risk and Assurance
- Responsible for ensuring the PI&E Services are managed in accordance with the integrated management system and applicable ISO Standards, LDO UK, LHD, LHUK and PI&E processes and procedures.
- Responsible for the completion of the PI&E Annual Departmental Procedures Review (DPR).
- Responsible for ensuring the PI&E CPR and Departmental Instructions are accurate and up to date.
- Manage related elements of audits by Regulatory and Certification Bodies and Internal Auditors including, but not limited to, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO44001, ISO50001 and ISO55001.
- Create and Maintain the function’s Operational Risk Register and represent PI&E at Risk Reviews.
Energy Management and Sustainability
- Lead the LHUK Utilities Working Group (UWG).
- Ensure the continuity of utilities supplies to the LHUK property portfolio.
- Responsible for the publication of monthly utilities, energy and sustainability performance reports.
- Manage the reduction of utilities consumption as part of the LHUK commitment to the LDO UK Carbon Net Zero targets. Support ESG and social value reporting.
- Ensure that LHUK is compliant with UK legislation for Utilities, including but not limited to applicable energy, carbon reporting and Gas Safety requirements.
- Manage the incoming and outgoing energy solutions that drive Carbon Net Zero targets, including the solar farm and PV expansion.

Commercial and Contract Management
- Responsible for creating and maintaining, collaborative relationships with PI&E service providers across the LHUK Estate.
- Ensure that the service providers contractual specifications, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are kept up to date, and accurately describe the contractual deliverables and meet the needs of the Business.
- Ensure that the performance of the Contractors is formally reviewed on a regular basis based on the size, scale and value of each contract, using performance data, corrective actions and evidenced outcomes.
- Ensure that the Contractors are audited at least annually to provide assurance of legal compliance, technical competence and contractual compliance.
- Ensure that the LHUK Building Management System (BMS) is appropriately managed to provide the required working environments whilst reducing utilities consumption and the associated carbon footprint.
- Ensure that all contract amendments are appropriately documented via the Contract Change Management process, are cost effective and implemented in a timely manner.
- Ensure all workspaces provide the appropriate and compliant working environment to support the delivery of the LHUK business objectives.
- Monitor contract and portfolio performance through dashboards, business intelligence and improvement actions.
- Ensure that the Asset database is up to date and accurate and deliver an annual Asset Lifecycle Management Plan that details the asset replacement programme, with costs and lead-times that ensures that the sites, buildings and equipment are safe, legally compliant and fit for purpose.
- Collaborate with the LHUK Production Plant Maintenance organisation to ensure that there is a clear demarcation of asset maintenance responsibilities.
What you’ll bring
- Educated to Degree or HNC level with relevant work experience within an equivalent function
- Knowledge and understanding of the wider organisation/products and Services.
- Conversant with building construction and associated engineering plant.
- Fully conversant with Facilities Management processes and procedures, with experience assuring outsourced services, supplier performance and value for money.
- Conversant with all relevant EU, UK and Company Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and high levels of emotional intelligence.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels.
- Computer literate with experience of all company standard software and performance data analysis.
- Qualified to a minimum of IOSH, with a sound understanding of the Risk Assessment Process and the Permit to Work process.
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk principles, integrated assurance and management review.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations, laws and other external factors.
