About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Front End Java Developer to support the delivery of large-scale digital and technology services within the Public Sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that serve the public interest, utilizing your expertise in Java and React.js to develop and maintain sophisticated user-facing applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing applications within a complex enterprise environment, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and usability. You will take ownership of development activities, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute your technical expertise to ensure project success.

Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience in Java development and front-end application creation using React.js.
- Proven track record of delivering applications within complex enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience working within Agile teams.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility for UK security clearance or holding an active SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using Java and React.js, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build robust, maintainable, and user-focused front-end solutions that enhance user experience and accessibility.
- Apply strong software engineering principles, including code modularity, reusability, and performance optimization, to deliver scalable solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, testers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated and effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose defects, and implement fixes in a timely manner to ensure application stability and performance.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, and development best practices to maintain high standards across the engineering team.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, providing input and feedback to continuously improve development processes and project outcomes.
