Food & Beverage Manager | North Devon | £40,000 plus bonus

I am recruiting a Food & Beverage Manager for a countryside resort in North Devon. The resort combines a hotel, self-catering lodges, a spa and leisure club, a meetings and events offer, and weddings, with food and drink at the centre of the guest experience.

This is a senior operational role. You will lead the whole F&B operation across the site: the restaurant and bars, weddings and banqueting, meetings and events, and food delivery to rooms, lodges and cottages. You will be accountable for commercial performance, standards and the quality of the guest experience, and for building the team that delivers it.

The role

  • Lead restaurant and bar operations, setting the standard for service and presentation
  • Oversee weddings, private dining, conferences and banqueting, working closely with the Meetings & Events team
  • Manage in-accommodation dining and resort food delivery, with quality and timing consistent across hotel rooms, lodges and cottages
  • Own revenue, labour control and margin through disciplined stock management and forecasting
  • Maintain health and safety, food safety and licensing compliance
  • Manage POS, PMS integration and reservation systems so reporting is accurate and useful
  • Recruit, coach and retain a strong team across every outlet
  • Work with Rooms, Revenue, Sales and Leisure so the guest journey feels joined up

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
