Food & Beverage Manager at Hurlands Pickleball and Padel Club
Hurlands Pickleball and Padel Club is Surrey's newest social sports destination, featuring 9 pickleball courts, 5 indoor padel courts, a lounge bar, fitness and wellbeing studios, meeting rooms, party rooms, and a club shop. As we grow, we're bringing food and beverage in-house to match the quality of the wider member experience, moving away from our current third-party provider to build a new, premium Hurlands hospitality offer.
The role
Reporting to our General Manager, you'll take full ownership of building the Hurlands food and beverage operation from the ground up, creating the operating model, establishing supplier relationships, finalising menus, implementing systems, and developing the procedures that let the business run successfully long term.
This is a role that combines strategic input with hands-on delivery. Key areas of responsibility include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
