We are looking for a dynamic individual that can successfully manage all Food & Beverage operations in the hotel, including our extensive Meetings & Events space which can accommodate up to 500 guests, putting great customer service at the heart of everything they do. Using your creative nature & personality, you will manage the team, leading by example & working with them to drive performance in excellent customer service & profitability through effective upsales & minimum wastage."

Key responsibilities of our Food and Beverage Manager:

  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and other legal requirements relevant to all food, beverage & event space areas
  • Managing everyday food and beverage activities, planning and assigning work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers, handling busy situations yourself in a timely manner with flair, charisma and charm
  • Developing your team and improving their performance through coaching and feedback, and creating performance and development goals for all team members, ensuring they are cross trained to cover all areas of F&B including events & function service
  • Managing food and beverage inventory procedures. Determining minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment
  • Being fully conversant with POS system and ensuring data within is managed correctly and is up-to-date to support the audit process
  • Establishing and achieving quality and guest satisfaction goals. Managing all requests and complaints making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing any issues promptly
  • Monitoring food & beverage budgets and controlling expenses related to food, beverage and departmental payroll costs
  • Working directly with the General Manager, Operations Manager and Head Chef to identify additional sales opportunities that would create additional revenue

The experience & qualifications required are:

  • Previous experience in a food and beverage management position or an experienced Restaurant/Bar Manager looking to step up into their first F&B Manager role
  • Attentive, professional customer service skills - leading by example to all
  • The ability to manage high demand and skillset to successfully coach all F&B team members
  • Experience of processing payments (ideally on Micros) would be advantageous
