Description
Come and join our team and let your passion and personality shine! We’re looking for a friendly, confident, and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at The Bath Priory, a 5-star Relais & Châteaux hotel in the heart of iconic Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys leading by example, and is ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll primarily be working breakfast shifts, helping to ensure our guests start their day with an exceptional experience, while occasionally supporting evening service when needed. Working closely with the Food & Beverage management team, you’ll help lead, motivate, and develop our front-of-house team, ensuring that every guest receives warm, thoughtful, and genuinely memorable service. Your usual working hours will be 07:00–15:30, with occasional evening shifts required. As with all hospitality roles, a degree of flexibility is important, and we’ll always do our best to offer fair and balanced rotas.
What will you be doing?
- Lead by example: Help supervise the daily breakfast operation, ensuring service runs smoothly and our guests feel genuinely welcome.
- Know your menu: We serve lots of delicious dishes, and we want you to feel confident explaining our menus, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Support and develop the team: Help train new colleagues, share your knowledge, and encourage everyone to deliver their best.
- Create memorable experiences: Pay attention to the little details that make a big difference, anticipating guest needs and delivering thoughtful, personalized service.
- Keep standards high: Ensure our service, presentation, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently excellent.
- Be ready to adapt: Although breakfast will be your main focus, you may occasionally supervise or support evening service and other Food & Beverage operations.
- Work together: We’re one team, and we believe in supporting each other across departments whenever needed.
- Take ownership: Be confident handling guest requests and unexpected situations, knowing when to make decisions independently and when to seek support.
What we offer
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- Service charge and gratuities on top of your basic salary.
- Opportunities for career progression and personal development.
- Excellent discounts across our family of hotels.
- 25% off food and beverage across the group.
- Special staff rates of £25 B&B per person, with additional rates for friends and family.
- Retail and hospitality discounts through our Perkbox platform.
- Free meals while on duty.
- Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme.
- Recognition for your loyalty, including milestone awards and special experiences.
- A supportive team and a culture that values personality as much as professionalism.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
