Role Description
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Macdonald Linden Hall Golf and Spa Hotel in Morpeth. This role oversees daily food and beverage operations across restaurants, bars, events, and room service to ensure consistent, high-quality service. The supervisor coordinates staff on shifts, allocates duties, and supports team members in delivering excellent guest experiences.

Responsibilities

- Maintaining service standards
- Monitoring food and drink presentation
- Handling guest queries and complaints
- Ensuring hygiene, health, and safety procedures are followed
- Assisting with training new team members
- Supporting stock control
- Working closely with management to meet revenue and guest satisfaction targets
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading and motivating food and beverage or hospitality teams
- Demonstrated ability to uphold and improve service standards within restaurant, bar, and event settings
- Practical food service experience, including table service, bar work, and event or banqueting operations
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and resolving issues effectively
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with guests, colleagues, and management
- Knowledge of food safety, health, and hygiene regulations; relevant certifications are an advantage
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks during busy periods
- Relevant vocational training or qualifications in hospitality, catering, or hotel management are beneficial
