We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Restaurant / Bar Team Leader to join our dynamic team. Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivational Food and Beverage Team Leader to join our organisation in Leeds, United Kingdom. In this permanent position, you will lead and inspire a dynamic team, ensuring exceptional service standards and operational excellence across all food and beverage operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to foster a supportive and professional working environment.

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of food and beverage staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Manage daily operations including scheduling, stock control, and inventory management to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, health and hygiene standards, and company policies at all times
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, providing constructive feedback and supporting their career progression
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by monitoring service quality and addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to maintain quality standards and cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct staff appraisals and manage performance issues with professionalism and fairness
  • Analyse operational data and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability
  • Communicate effectively with senior management regarding team performance, challenges, and opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with organisational requirements

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a food and beverage or hospitality leadership role (minimum 2–3 years)
  • Strong people skills and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in staff scheduling, inventory management, and operational planning
  • Sound knowledge of food safety standards and health and hygiene regulations
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Food hygiene certification or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and food and beverage management software
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management
  • Knowledge of menu planning and food cost control
  • Experience in staff induction and training programme development
  • Familiarity with quality assurance modelling and continuous improvement methodologies
