Join Bettys as our Food & Drink Manager on a 14-month maternity cover. This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-established leadership role at an exciting time for Bettys, influencing everything from product innovation, range development and the food and drink experiences that keep customers coming back to Bettys.
We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Food & Drink team at Bettys Bakery in Harrogate within the Bettys & Taylors Group.
Based at our Bakery in Harrogate, as a Food & Drink Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the product innovation teams to drive excellence and innovation across all Bettys channels in line with the long term strategy and category and product 3 year+ plan.
- Project management in line with the NPD/EPD Critical Path Process and project governance ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time and within budget while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for implementing and managing Bettys’ packaging development strategy and range rationalisation to enhance product presentation and sustainability.
- Be the guardian of the category vision, role and iconic products, refine Existing Product Development (EPD) products to improve quality, customer appeal, and commercial viability.
- Ensures their team provides up-to-date, compliant, and accurate data, specifications, costings, and margin information for all products across various channels.

Working pattern
This is a full-time role working 37.5 over 5 days. This is a fixed-term role for 14-months, starting in November 2026 and ending in January 2028.

This role can accommodate hybrid working and flexible hours. Collaborating in-person with your peers 3-4 days per week would normally be expected. If you would like to discuss flexible working, please provide more details in your application.
About You
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge in the food and drink sector.
- Exceptional skills in Project Management and process governance.
- Experience in working for premium food or hospitality brands.
- Creative, curious, and ambitious with a strong commercial mindset.
- People leadership, team management experience, coaching and developing others.
