Food & Beverage Assistant (Full Time)
About The Role
This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*.
The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff, and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of dining and beverage options.
The West Hospitality team has two vacancies for Food & Beverage Assistants within our catering operation. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation and deliver a consistently high standard of customer service. Key duties include:
- Taking customer orders
- Serving food and drink
- Operating tills
- Stocking food stations
- Assisting with cleaning and clearing tables and catering areas
The role includes early morning, evening, and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). The weekly shift pattern consists of straight shifts only, no split shifts.
Training and uniforms are provided, and there are opportunities for development and progression within the department.

About You
You will bring:
- Strong customer service skills in a customer-focused environment.
- A professional, calm, and organized approach during busy periods.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Reliability, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Availability for daytime shifts, particularly weekday lunchtimes.
- Previous hospitality experience is desirable.
Further Information
This is a full-time, permanent position working 36.5 hours per week.

Campus Services New Starter Bonus*
In addition to the great benefits Campus Services offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months' probation. Please note this bonus is pro rata for part-time positions.
