Food & Beverage Assistant (Live-In Available)

Location: Ullapool, Scottish Highlands

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Accommodation: Live-in accommodation available for successful candidates


Join Our Team in the Heart of the Highlands

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team at our welcoming 3-star hotel in the beautiful fishing village of Ullapool. Situated on the shores of Loch Broom and surrounded by stunning Highland scenery, our hotel offers guests exceptional hospitality, comfortable accommodation, and quality food and drink.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Live-in accommodation is available, making this an ideal role for candidates relocating to the Highlands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing warm and professional service to hotel guests in the restaurant, bar, and lounge areas.
  • Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serving food and drinks to company standards.
  • Preparing and setting up dining areas before service.
  • Ensuring tables are cleaned, cleared, and reset promptly.
  • Assisting with bar service, including preparing beverages and handling payments.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout all food and beverage areas.
  • Working closely with the kitchen and wider hotel team to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Assisting with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, restaurant, bar, or hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
