Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Food & Beverage Operations Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team at Fairmont St Andrews.

Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, this is a key operational role supporting the successful day-to-day delivery of our Food & Beverage operations across the resort.

With a varied collection of restaurants, bars, event spaces and golf-related outlets, no two days are the same. The Food & Beverage Operations Manager will provide leadership, consistency and operational support across all areas, working alongside our Outlet Managers to ensure exceptional service standards and a seamless guest experience.

This role will also act as a key point of leadership across the department during periods of annual leave or absence, stepping into individual outlets where required to provide continuity and operational oversight.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of all Food & Beverage outlets across the resort
  • Working closely with Outlet Managers to ensure consistent service standards, strong operational performance and an exceptional guest experience
  • Providing operational leadership and support during busy periods, large events and peak trading times
  • Providing management cover across Food & Beverage outlets during annual leave, absence or periods of operational need
  • Supporting the Director of Food & Beverage with the overall performance and strategic direction of the department
  • Acting as a visible and hands-on leader within the operation, building strong relationships with colleagues and managers across the resort
  • Supporting Outlet Managers with team performance, engagement, training and development
  • Monitoring service delivery and identifying opportunities to continuously improve the guest journey
  • Supporting the effective management of labour, productivity, stock, costs and departmental expenses
  • Working collaboratively with Culinary, Events, Golf, Rooms and other hotel departments to ensure a joined-up approach to the guest experience
  • Deputising for the Director of Food & Beverage when required

Qualifications

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage leader who is comfortable operating across multiple outlets and who enjoys being at the heart of a busy operation.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong previous Food & Beverage management experience within a high-volume hotel, resort or multi-outlet environment
  • Experience leading teams and supporting managers across multiple operational areas
  • A hands-on and flexible approach, with the confidence to step into different outlets and quickly understand operational priorities
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards and operational best practice
  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to remain calm, organised and solutions-focused within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of labour management, productivity, revenue and cost control
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
  • The ability to coach, motivate and develop others
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, in line with the needs of the operation
