About The Role
The Food & Beverage Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing the overall food and beverage operations within the hotel. This position oversees the day-to-day running of the hotel’s dining venues, bars, in-room dining, and event catering, driving and maintaining the highest standards of service and quality in line with Forbes standards and hotel service expectations.
The Food & Beverage Operations Manager provides strong leadership, drives staff training and ensures operational standards are met in each restaurant and outlet.
About You
- Proven experience in food and beverage management in leadership or supervisory role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
- Proven experience managing food and beverage operations, staff supervision, and service delivery across multiple outlets.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, with a good understanding of wine.
- Strong background in operational efficiency, cost control, and guest service excellence.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with marketing, finance, and kitchen teams to drive success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team of diverse professionals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, guests, and senior management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving efficiency and operational improvements.
- High attention to detail, particularly in the areas of guest service, food quality, and cleanliness.
- Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, costs, and revenue targets.
- Proficiency in using property management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in Food Safety, Health & Safety, or equivalent is required.
- Additional training or certifications in leadership, financial management, or customer service excellence are advantageous.
- Level 2 WSET accreditation desired.
