IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) is a global non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating meaningful international internships for students, employers, and universities. With a presence in over 80 countries, IAESTE connects talented students with valuable work experiences across borders while supporting organisations with recruitment, visa assistance, relocation, and 24/7 pastoral care.
In the UK, IAESTE has been placing students in local businesses since 2012, helping companies access international technical talent. IAESTE also supports UK students by reviewing application materials, guiding them through internship preparation, and managing logistics and relocation with local committees.

Role Description
This is an on-site internship role based in India for a recent graduate focusing on Food Consumer Research, AI, and Data Analysis. The intern will support research projects that investigate food consumer behavior, preferences, and trends using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Day-to-day tasks may include:
- Collecting and cleaning data from surveys, market reports, and digital sources
- Conducting statistical and exploratory data analysis
- Applying basic AI or machine learning techniques under supervision
- Preparing clear reports and visualizations
- Contributing to presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating closely with research and data teams to translate findings into practical insights
- Assisting with documentation, maintaining project files
- Contributing to continuous improvement of research processes and analytical tools
Qualifications
- Foundational data analysis and statistical skills, including experience with spreadsheets, basic statistical tools, and data visualization.
- Introductory AI or machine learning skills, such as familiarity with common algorithms, data preprocessing, and working with relevant software or programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Research skills in consumer or market studies, including designing or supporting surveys, interpreting qualitative and quantitative findings, and summarizing insights clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an accessible and structured way for different audiences.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative on-site environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Food Science, Marketing, or related discipline), along with genuine interest in food consumer behavior and applied analytics.
- Experience with data tools (such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar), and familiarity with international or multicultural work environments, would be beneficial.
