Food Machinery Engineer
Windsor Food Machinery Ltd is looking for an experienced Food Machinery Engineer to join our engineering team.
This role is based at our premises in Hamstreet, near Ashford, Kent, so applicants must be able to work from our Hamstreet site as part of their normal working week.
The role will involve a mixture of field service work and workshop-based engineering.
The successful candidate will be expected to travel to customers throughout the UK to install, service, repair and maintain a wide range of food processing and packaging machinery. Some work will also be undertaken in our workshop refurbishing used machinery ready for resale.
Windsor supplies machinery to butchers, food manufacturers and industrial food processing sites, as well as other industries across the UK. Our equipment ranges from smaller butchery machinery through to large industrial processing and packaging equipment.

You could be working on equipment including:
- Vacuum packers and packaging machinery
- Mixer-grinders, mincers and mixers
- Vacuum fillers and sausage production equipment
- Slicers, bandsaws and cutting equipment
- Burger and forming machines
- Bowl choppers and tumblers
- Industrial food processing machinery
- Cooking, smoking and thermal processing equipment
- Used machinery undergoing full workshop refurbishment
The workshop tasks would include fault finding, stripping machinery down, replacing worn parts, electrical and mechanical repairs, testing, rebuilding and preparing equipment for customer delivery.
We’re looking for someone with previous engineering experience who is confident with both mechanical and electrical fault finding.
Experience within food machinery would be ideal, but we would also be interested in engineers from packaging, processing or similar industrial machinery backgrounds.

The right person needs to be practical, reliable and comfortable dealing directly with customers. You will need to be able to diagnose faults, carry out repairs and installations and work independently when required, whilst being part of an engineering team.
A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
The position includes UK travel and occasional overnight stays.
