Salary: £25,515 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 07:30 to 16:00 Monday-Thursday, 07:30 to 13:00 Friday
Start date: October 2026
We are seeking to appoint a Food Preparation and Nutrition Technician to join our team at Cheadle Hulme School from October 2026.
Overview:
The post holder contributes to the smooth running of the Food Preparation & Nutrition department, specifically with planning departmental resources and preparing for the effective delivery of practical lessons. They will work closely with the teaching staff and contribute to the department by organising and coordinating resources to ensure a high standard of safety and hygiene. They will liaise with colleagues and external suppliers to provide the resources needed for the delivery of the curriculum.
We are looking for someone who:
- Previous experience of working with food, ideally in a school environment.
- Experience of stock control and planning the use of resources, equipment and materials.
- Previous experience of working with school-age children.

Optional:
- A Level Qualifications in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
- NVQ or similar qualification in a relevant area is advantageous.
- Certificate in Food Hygiene is advantageous.
- First Aid at Work Certificate is advantageous.
- Previous teaching experience is advantageous.
