Food Production Operative

Key Duties
- Working on the production line, preparing raw meat products.
- Adding ingredients, packing, and labeling products.
- De-boxing various meat primals onto tables.
- De-bagging primals and placing them into trays.
- Lifting boxes from pallets to the de-boxing area (up to 20kg).
- Disposing of empty boxes and bags into rubbish skips.
- Collecting clean trays from the tray wash area.
- Handling heavy lifting tasks as required.
- Rotating tasks with the team to ensure efficient operation.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Collaborating effectively in a team environment.

Pay rate
£12.91 per hour
Any lawful deductions will be explained clearly before engagement. Statutory deductions such as Tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions (where applicable) will apply.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 to 17:00
- OR
- 16:00 to 01:00
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in the food industry, especially with raw meat (pork, beef, poultry), is preferred.
- Comfortable working in cold conditions for approximately 9 hours daily.
- Physically fit to handle lifting up to 20kg.
- Flexible with working hours, as shifts may vary depending on the department.
- Teamwork-oriented with a strong work ethic.
