Join our Production Team

At Barfoots, keeping our production lines running safely and efficiently is key to delivering quality fresh produce to our customers. We're looking for experienced Food Manufacturing Operators who can help make that happen. You'll set up and operate production and packaging equipment, complete changeovers, monitor performance and respond quickly when problems arise.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production lines
  • Operate food production and packaging equipment
  • Complete product and machine changeovers
  • Monitor line performance and respond to problems
  • Carry out routine checks and minor adjustments
  • Record production and Short Interval Control (SIC) information
  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to reduce downtime
  • Support your team to meet production targets
  • Follow food safety and health and safety standards

Working Environment

You'll work in a busy fresh food manufacturing environment. Production areas are temperature controlled, typically 3°C–5°C and the role involves standing for long periods, some manual handling and working with automated production equipment.

Experience

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working with production equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • A good understanding of production processes
  • Good mechanical awareness
  • Confidence identifying and solving minor production problems
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive and proactive approach

Food manufacturing experience is an advantage, but it's not essential. We also welcome applications from people with relevant experience in similar working environments.
