Job Description

Food Production Operative

Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 2pm

Please note that the finish time may vary depending on workload.

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

Duties

  • Packing food products in line with company standards and specifications
  • Carrying out quality control checks to ensure products meet required standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
  • Working in accordance with strict food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times
  • Manual handling and heavy lifting as part of daily duties

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a food production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting duties
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently
  • Basic numeracy skills for counting and measuring

Working Environment

  • This role is based within a chilled/cold store environment
  • Full PPE and protective clothing will be provided
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in cold conditions throughout their shift
