Apply today to work as a Food Production Team Leader for our client's site, which produces a wide range of own-label chilled sauces and soups for major UK retailers.

Temp-to-perm opportunity!

The rate of pay is:

  • Days £14.68 per hour
  • Nights £15.68 per hour

This is a full-time role, working rotating shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off. The hours of work are:

  • 6am to 6pm
  • 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

As a Food Production Team Leader, your duties include:

  • Ensuring that an effective handover is completed with the previous Zone Manager and ensuring all equipment is in good working order and pre-start-up checks are completed at the start of each shift.
  • Documenting daily toolbox and area equipment checks, checking for cleanliness and damage at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring items are accounted for, ensuring equipment is clean and in a state of readiness to commence preparation.
  • Providing leadership to operatives in their role in order to achieve maximum output, monitoring performance, ensuring the most effective placement and utilisation of operators throughout the shift, ensuring any issues with staff are addressed immediately and liaising accordingly with the department manager.
  • Ensuring that the team wear the correct PPE when required, following the colour-coded procedure, maintaining, and reporting any issues to management.
  • Ensuring paperwork throughout the team is being completed in a timely and accurate manner, including CCP's checks in the area to aid traceability legislation.
  • Following all factory and health and safety procedures in place, reporting any discrepancies and/or issues to technical and/or management when/if they arise, and acting as a buddy to onboard new starters when needed.
