Role Description
A Gator’s Dockside Food Runner is responsible for:
- Preparation, garnishing, plating, organizing, delivering, and following up on the quality of all food items served in the restaurant.
- Retaining a current food safety certification.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the common area of the kitchen including trash cans, hand washing sinks, floors, walls, shelves, and machines such as refrigerators, storage coolers, and the ice machine and soda machines.
- Following all plating and presentation standards as outlined by trainers, manuals, and the policies and procedures from the corporate office.
- Interacting with management, as well as all hourly employees in a friendly and non-coercive manner to carry out their assigned duties and provide each guest with the ultimate dining experience.

Additional Duties
- May be required at times to help with other kitchen duties including but not limited to washing dishes, portioning food, helping with prep items, cleaning projects inside and outside the kitchen, assisting servers with drinks and delivery of supplemental items, seating tables, cleaning or “bussing tables,” cleaning bathrooms, floors in common areas of the dining room, organizing shelves and mopping areas in the kitchen or front of the house.
- Responsible for knowing specific opening and closing procedures relating to their immediate work station and will carry out those duties as instructed on a daily basis with attention to detail and completing them in a timely manner as instructed by management.
- When asked by a guest to retrieve something from the restaurant or from their server, they will recognize each guest as their own guest and carry out requests in a friendly manner, with a smile, as well as deliver concerns to management in regard to all guests of Gator’s Dockside.

Common Area Maintenance
It is the specific duty of all employees of Gator’s Dockside to help with the cleaning and maintaining of all common areas of the restaurant as directed by management including but not limited to:
- Restrooms
- Dining room floors
- Kitchen floors
- Restaurant walls
- Shelving
- Sidewalks
- Windows
- Doors
- Games
- Ice and soda machines
- Drink stations
- Carpets
- Tables
- Chairs
- Cabinets
Personal hygiene and cleanliness is always required.
