Food Safety & Brand Standards Auditor

Freelance Food Safety & Brand Standards Auditor

EcoSure is a division of Ecolab and a globally recognised leader in food safety and brand protection. We are currently seeking a freelance Food Safety & Brand Standards Auditor based in Gloucester, with audit assignments covering the Cheltenham and Swindon areas.

In this role, you will support food service brands by conducting on-site assessments and delivering consultancy to ensure alignment with brand standards, improving operational efficiency, and safeguarding the guest experience.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct food safety, health & hygiene, and brand standard audits across client sites in alignment with regulatory and company requirements
  • Provide consultancy and recommendations to clients on food safety and hygiene best practices, fostering operational compliance and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong, professional client relationships and act as a strategic business partner
  • Deliver audits with clarity and diplomacy to position EcoSure as the go-to partner for food safety and brand protection

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 4 Food Safety qualification
  • Flexibility to complete assignments across weekdays and weekends, ensuring coverage of all operational dayparts
  • Access to a personal vehicle (full, clean driving licence required)
  • based in or near the assigned territory (Gloucester, Cheltenham, Swindon)

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Proven experience in food safety auditing (preferably within retail, hospitality (F&B), hotels, or convenience stores)
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills, with an ability to build confidence and trust among clients
  • Independence and initiative when conducting audits, applying sound judgment to identify risks and issues
  • Problem-solving ability with measurable improvements in compliance records
  • Capacity to work under pressure, manage complex tasks, and meet tight deadlines

Delivery Model

This independent consulting role allows you to work in partnership with Ecolab on a contractual basis. No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.
