Freelance Food Safety & Brand Standards Auditor – Leeds, UK
Global Leader in Food Safety & Brand Protection
EcoSure, a division of Ecolab, is seeking a Freelance Food Safety & Brand Standards Auditor based in Leeds.
In this role, you will work directly with food service brands, conducting on-site audits and providing expert consultancy to ensure compliance with brand standards and food safety best practices, ultimately enhancing the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct food safety, health & hygiene, and brand standard audits at client sites (e.g., retail, hospitality, convenience stores, National/corporate chain hotels)
- Provide consultancy, educating clients on best practices in food safety, hygiene, quality control, and operational compliance
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to audit reports and compliance documentation
- Offer problem-solving advice and recommendations based on audit findings

Education & Key Qualifications
To be considered, you must meet the following:
- Hold a Level 4 Food Safety qualification
- Be flexible: Available to work across weekdays and weekends, covering morning, afternoon, and evening schedules as required
- Have access to mobility: Own a vehicle and hold a full, clean driving licence
- Carry necessary audit equipment (compatibility with EcoSure’s systems)
- Be based in or able to easily travel to the Leeds/assigned territory area
Desired Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in food safety auditing (preferably within retail, hospitality, or convenience sectors)
- Excellent relationship management skills to build trust with clients
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving capability

- Excellent written and communication skills, with an ability to present findings professionally

About This Role
Contract Type: Freelance consulting partnership with EcoSure (no permanent or agency contract) Location: Freelance assignments based in or near Leeds Immediate Availability: Required
