About The Role
As Food Safety Quality Management System Lead, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance and governance of Refresco UK's Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS). Working closely with the Head of Quality Assurance, you will ensure the system supports business objectives while meeting Refresco Group, customer and GFSI certification requirements.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining documentation control, audit and CAPA governance, compliance reporting and quality system effectiveness across all UK manufacturing sites. This role is ideal for a quality professional with strong systems management experience who is passionate about continuous improvement and food safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Quality Assurance in ensuring the FSQMS meets business, customer and certification requirements.
- Own and maintain the Food Safety Quality Management System across Refresco UK.
- Ensure compliance with GFSI standards, customer requirements and external certification expectations.
- Maintain controlled documentation within the FSQMS, ensuring effective version control and document lifecycle management.
- Provide governance and oversight for all documentation held within the quality management system.
- Drive improvements to procedures, policies, templates and system documentation.
- Develop and monitor KPIs relating to FSQMS performance, document reviews, open actions and compliance activities.
- Monitor and report audit performance, CAPA completion and adherence to corrective action plans.
- Analyse and report quality incident trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver training on FSQMS requirements, system functionality and document control processes.
- Develop templates, guidance documents and tools to support consistency across the business.
- Conduct internal audits of documentation, records and system compliance in line with the internal audit schedule.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen quality governance and compliance.
- Promote Refresco's commitment to food safety, quality, health and safety, sustainability and operational excellence.
About You
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented quality professional with experience of managing or coordinating Food Safety Quality Management Systems within a food manufacturing environment. You will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for driving quality system excellence.
