Job Description
Food Service Assistant – Temporary Role at UOW Harrow Campus
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant for temporary work during Summer School at the UOW Harrow Campus (HA1 3TP).
What You’ll Do
You will assist with:
- Basic food preparation, including preparing sandwiches and grab-and-go foods
- Front-of-house operations, such as running till operations and delivering exceptional customer service
As part of safeguarding and promoting young people’s welfare, our team upholds Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) protocols. This role will require enhanced DBS checks in line with our safeguarding policy.

Job Responsibilities
This role includes both kitchen work and customer service duties:
- Food prep: Making sandwiches and cold dishes
- Kitchen duties: General cooking and prep tasks
- Front-of-house operations:
- Serving, clearing tables, and providing outstanding service
- Running the till (cash PamCards) and processing payments
- Managing food restocking and maintaining stock rotation
- Housekeeping: Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, and keeping all areas to high cleanliness standards)
- Training: Multi-skilling encouraged, with comprehensive on-the-job support and digital training

Key Requirements
- Customer service experience is essential
- Teamplayer mindset (ability to work collaboratively under fast-paced conditions)
- Catering experience would strengthen your application but is not mandatory
