MacGregor Black are partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Food Specification Technologist to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
To create specifications for a range of customers, reviewing and approving artwork thoroughly which requires an eye for detail ensuring deadlines are met with consistent accuracy. Working within a team, building relationships across customer and colleague base.
The role is predominantly office-based, but you will be required to enter the factory environment, so at times you will be exposed to a refrigerated, noisy environment. You will be working Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 (Travel across Midlands sites will be required (Dudley/Telford/Wednesbury).

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitate successful product launches.
- Work alongside Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications.
- Work closely with NPD to integrate with NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches.
- Internal liaison and support for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers.

What We're Looking For:
- Food-related Further Education qualification
- Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths.
- Experience of retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation.
- Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve key deadlines.
- Self-motivated
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
- Full Driving License
Desirable
- Food-related HND/Degree
- Food labelling qualification
