Food Technologist

We're looking for a Food Technologist to join our Quality team based in our Redhill office. This role will be accountable for the day-to-day technical management of Lactalis’ customers, meeting their needs and expectations, whilst respecting the Group Quality Policy & objectives. The role will also support the Technical Account Manager (TAM) in ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met, in building strong relationships with them, providing excellent customer service and driving the customers technical agenda to improve performance.

This role will also provide technical support to other functions within the company to retain current business and to gain new business, whilst ensuring food safety & quality is not compromised.

Essential Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • Degree in Food Science (or equivalent) with strong knowledge of Food Safety standards, HACCP and BRC requirements.
  • Experience working with UK retailer and foodservice specification systems, with a strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and challenge constructively.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and curiosity, with the ability to verify information and solve problems effectively.
  • Well-organised and proactive, able to manage priorities, meet deadlines and provide both reactive and preventative support.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe, with a full clean driving licence held for at least one year.
