The Role:
- Competitive Compensation: MPS1–MPS6 + Fringe Allowance & Minimum SEN Allowance.
- Permanent, full-time teaching role
- Work directly within a dedicated specialist setting in Hertfordshire.
- Plan and adapt practical Food Technology lessons - covering cooking, nutrition, food hygiene, and kitchen safety - tailored to learners with complex SEND.
What you need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and completed Initial Teacher Training (ITT) are essential.
- Recent teaching experience within a similar Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) specialist setting.
- Proven ability to adapt practical Food Technology, cooking, and kitchen safety sessions to suit diverse learning and physical needs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration with support staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- A strong passion for fostering independence, life skills, and safe practical learning for pupils with complex SEND.
- Valid right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo standard pre-employment checks (including an Enhanced DBS).
