About the Opportunity
Carrick Rangers Football Club is seeking passionate, articulate volunteer broadcasters to join our media team for the upcoming season. We are recruiting both Play-by-Play and Color Commentary announcers to call live streams and matchday coverage for our Men's, Women's, U20s, and Academy teams.
This role is ideal for graduate students and aspiring sports media professionals seeking live on-air reps, reel material, and real-world experience inside Northern Irish football.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver live, engaging play-by-play or tactical color commentary for official club broadcasts at Taylors Avenue.
- Conduct pre-match research on squad news, tactical systems, and player statistics ahead of kick-off.
- Provide clear match analysis, half-time insights, and post-match summaries.
- Collaborate with the club's broadcast and media staff during live streams.

Requirements
- Strong verbal communication, vocal clarity, and quick analytical thinking during live action.
- Deep passion for football and solid familiarity with local and regional competitions.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Journalism, Media Production, Sports Communication, or a related field (graduate students preferred).
- Availability to be on-site in Carrickfergus for weekend and mid-week match days.
- Ability to commit approximately 4-6 hours per week.
