Samba Soccer Schools® is an innovative London-based football school that teaches children aged 4 to 12 to play “the Brazilian way” using a unique coaching methodology and training syllabus. The program combines samba music, size 2 weighted footballs, and storytelling to create an engaging and enjoyable grassroots football experience. Role Description
The Football Coach will deliver engaging on-site coaching sessions for children in Romford, Ockendon, Rainham, and Dagenham following Samba Soccer Schools®’ Brazilian-inspired methodology and training syllabus. This contract role involves planning and running age-appropriate sessions that build ball mastery, 1v1 skills, and game understanding, while promoting confidence, discipline, and enjoyment. The coach will manage session setup, ensure a safe and inclusive environment, and adapt drills to different ability levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating effectively with children and parents, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and collaborating with other coaches to align with the school’s coaching philosophy and objectives.

- Strong Football Coaching and general Coaching skills, with experience working with children in a grassroots or academy setting.
- Solid Football knowledge, including technical skills, small-sided games, and player development principles.
- Excellent Communication abilities, particularly when engaging young players and liaising with parents or guardians.
- Training experience, including planning structured sessions, delivering drills, and giving constructive feedback.
- Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., FA coaching badges or equivalent) and up-to-date safeguarding and first aid training are highly beneficial.
- Ability to create a fun, inclusive, and safe learning environment, with strong classroom and group management skills.
- Availability to work on-site in Romford, Ockendon, Rainham, and Dagenham with reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to representing Samba Soccer Schools®.
