Marquee is the intelligence layer for professional football clubs, turning fragmented data into decisions on recruitment, squad planning and tactics. We are hiring a Football Content Lead to bring that thinking to a public audience.

We work with professional clubs across top-flight European leagues and the US, combining external data, internal club knowledge and our own models into decision-ready football intelligence. The same engine that helps clubs recruit and plan squads can produce football content that no publisher can match. That is the job.

You report to the CMO. You build Marquee's content strategy alongside him, then own the execution end to end. This is a writing role first. Tactical depth is the bar, not a bonus.

What you will do

  • Build and run Marquee's content strategy across LinkedIn, X, newsletter, and blog
  • Write long-form football analysis with genuine tactical depth, built on Marquee's insights
  • Produce a steady cadence of short-form social content that earns attention from football people
  • Cover transfers, player profiles, match-ups, and league-wide patterns
  • Turn what Marquee sees into content that drives inbound interest and qualified leads from clubs
  • Adapt the same insight for different audiences: club decision makers, football media, and informed fans
  • Produce content against media partnerships once deals are in place
  • Support founder and company voice on LinkedIn where relevant

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you bring

  • At least 5 years across football writing, football data analysis, or social media, ideally a combination
  • Native English, with a portfolio of published football work. Long-form or short-form, as long as it stands out
  • Real tactical understanding. You can watch a match and explain the mechanisms, not the highlights
  • Fluency in short-form social. You know what stops a scroll on LinkedIn and X, and how those differ
  • A commercial instinct. You understand that content here has a job to do beyond reach
  • Independence. You will set the calendar, hit it, and improve it without being managed into it
