ANTIC is a Football Academy is a specialised training program designed to improve a player’s technique, speed, and endurance, through professional coaching.

Role Description

The Football School Trainer role at ANTIC is a full-time, on-site position based in England, United Kingdom. The trainer will plan, lead, and evaluate football training sessions for participants of varying ages and skill levels, ensuring that coaching methods align with the school’s standards and safety protocols.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Designing skill-building drills
  • Supervising practice sessions
  • Providing constructive feedback
  • Monitoring player development

  • Maintaining training equipment
  • Supporting a positive, inclusive learning environment

The trainer is expected to promote discipline, teamwork, and good sportsmanship while helping participants reach their individual and team goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong football coaching skills, including session planning, technical and tactical instruction, and player development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely with children and young people, including adherence to safeguarding and health and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate diverse groups of learners.
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage training schedules, equipment, and administrative tasks.
  • Relevant coaching certifications or licenses (e.g., FA or equivalent) and prior experience as a football coach or trainer.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and adapt coaching methods to different age groups and skill levels.
  • Basic understanding of sports science principles, such as conditioning, injury prevention, and performance monitoring, is desirable.
  • First aid training or willingness to obtain certification is an advantage.
