FOOTBALL VIDEO EDITOR
Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded entertainment. Our diverse team of over 285 international employees produce top-level sports such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime time documentaries, and entertainment quiz shows for a raft of broadcasters. Whisper’s creativity and storytelling are BAFTA-winning and Emmy International-nominated. It is also a Sunday Times Best Places to Work.
We are looking for talented and hard-working video editors with a track record of making engaging and effective football videos for major sports organisations.
Candidates must have a very strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and a burning desire to improve this skillset every day, using analytics to inform their understanding of what makes a successful video.
We are after video editors who live and breathe football with a very strong understanding of the major storylines and protagonists of European football over the last 20 years.
Candidates must be constantly consuming content and seeking inspiration from content creators and publishers.
We want people who watch a new and exciting edit and then instantly want to try and make it themselves.
Whisper is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We welcome and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, communities, and lived experiences. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
What we’re looking for:
- A very strong editor who is constantly evolving their Adobe Premiere Pro skillset. You must be very comfortable cutting sport compilations, match highlights and social clips in a variety of aspect ratios. And be adept at cutting entertaining interview edits from two-camera shoots.
- A person that is completely locked into digital and social content. We want people who are regularly watching YouTube content and can take inspiration from this work and apply it to their own edits.
- A candidate who understands how YouTube works and what the best practice is for all types of content for that platform.
- An open-minded person who works well with others and is willing to listen to feedback and advice from several different stakeholders.
- Someone who can track their own progress and deliverables and communicate them to a wide group of stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
