About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join Booker as a Forecourt Proposition Manager, taking a leading role in shaping and developing our forecourt proposition across both major National Accounts and independent forecourt customers.

This is a commercially focused role within a significant area of the Booker business. You’ll work closely with some of our largest forecourt customers, understanding what they need from their range, promotions and seasonal activity and turning this into a proposition that delivers for their businesses and ours.

Working closely with National Account teams, Key Account Managers and our Trading teams, you’ll help ensure we have the right forecourt-specific ranges and promotional plans in place. From planning ahead for key seasonal periods to responding to changing customer and market needs, you’ll bring together customer insight, trading knowledge and commercial thinking to develop an offer that keeps us competitive.

You’ll also use market data and industry insight to create tailored materials and recommendations for our customers, helping them understand opportunities within the forecourt market and how Booker can support their growth.

While National Accounts will be a major focus, our independent forecourt retailers remain an important part of our business. You’ll ensure their needs are represented too, helping us build a strong forecourt proposition that works across our diverse customer base.

This is a field-based role with national travel, including time spent with customers and visiting the wider forecourt market.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and continually improving the forecourt proposition to drive customer growth, profitability and loyalty.
  • Building strong relationships across National Accounts, Key Account teams and Trading to understand customer requirements and turn them into effective commercial plans.
  • Working with Category Managers and Trading teams to develop appropriate forecourt ranges, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
  • Working directly with key National Account customers to understand their priorities and plan ahead for important promotional and seasonal periods.
  • Ensuring the needs of independent forecourt retailers are represented alongside our larger National Account customers.
  • Using market data, customer insight and competitor activity to identify opportunities and make commercially focused recommendations.
  • Producing tailored insight and proposition materials to support conversations with National Account customers.
  • Spending time in the market with customers and visiting competitors to maintain a strong understanding of the forecourt sector.
  • Working collaboratively across Product, Supply Chain, Marketing, Retail Support, Finance and Range to improve choice, price and service.
  • Supporting the development of new services, formats and opportunities that strengthen our forecourt proposition and help retain key customers.
  • Acting as a strong voice for forecourts across Booker and helping to build a "think forecourts" culture across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
