Portsmouth
Permanent, full-time

Plan and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Marlin Environmental South-East Commercial team, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to customer requirements. Manage customer projects, workshop activities, and equipment maintenance at the Farlington facility.

Work closely with customers and colleagues across the business to make the best use of resources, while ensuring compliance with SHEQ policies, company procedures, and health and safety legislation.


More about the role:

  • Plan and organise all internal and customer tasks and projects.
  • Train, manage, organise, and lead staff under your control, ensuring all tasks are carried out to customers' satisfaction and in accordance with Marlin Environmental quality procedures.
  • Actively manage and resolve problems that arise prior to or during job execution by liaising with the team/customer.
  • Ensure jobs are ready to start prior to deploying teams by liaising with customers for the provision of access/permits/temporary supplies, etc.
  • Work closely with stores to ensure all equipment, supplies, and consumables are available to complete tasks.
  • Ensure accurate completion of tasks to the customer's satisfaction, all documentation to be completed correctly, and sign off acceptance sheets with the customer.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Clear understanding and experience working within confined spaces and undertaking engineering tasks.
  • Relevant experience operating as a Team leader/Manager.
  • Relevant practical experience and training in the required disciplines and ability to demonstrate how to carry out the projects and tasks.
  • Ability to create method statements, understand RAMS and COSHH assessments.
  • Communication skills – develop relationships with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the Marlin Environmental Team.
