Job Description: Forensic Practitioner
The Forensic Practitioner provides specialist assessment, risk management, and develops intervention plans with the multi-disciplinary team for people with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs, forensic histories, or identified risks. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder promotes recovery, wellbeing, social inclusion, and community safety through evidence-based, trauma-informed practice, while offering specialist advice, support, and training to clients, carers, and partner agencies.
Key Objectives
- To improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and/or autism by minimising the impact of their condition through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and wellbeing.
- To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients and their carers, and practice within a trauma informed framework.
- To be professionally accountable and responsible for client care, undertaking a range of clinical/therapeutic interventions in clients’ homes and other community settings.
- To provide specialist assessment and advice to a range of services/organisations regarding the management and care of clients.
- To promote social inclusion, community access and participation through the provision of client care.
- To be committed to and take a lead role in activities integral to the Trust’s Quality Improvement System.
