Assistant Manager - Forensic and Risk Advisory
As an assistant manager joining our Forensic and Risk Advisory team, you will work with clients across a variety of sectors, building your commercial and financial awareness, as well as the other skills you need to further develop your career as a Forensic Accountant.
Can be based in Leeds or Manchester
The Role
Specifically, this role is within the Forensic and Risk Advisory team with a particular focus on litigation/disputes.
As part of your role, you will be involved in the delivery of a range of Forensic assignments. You will be working and collaborating with other members in the Forensic and Risk Advisory team, as well as internal teams across other service lines, in order to build strong working relationships and to deliver high-quality forensic reports. This will involve applying your technical knowledge to real life scenarios, problem solving, analysing data and presenting your findings.
This role will involve a combination of working in the local office and at client premises or law firms as required.

- Conducting forensic analysis of financial data;
- Quantification of losses in commercial and family disputes;
- Investigation of fraud and accounting irregularity;
- Asset tracing and bank statement analysis;
- Share and other asset valuations;
- Conducting background research on the economy, businesses and individuals;
- Drafting, in whole or in part, of expert reports or other written reports for use in legal proceedings or for advice to solicitors or clients;
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and barristers;
- Performing business development activities;
- Project administration;
- Assisting with staff management and development of junior staff.
Much of your time will be spent working directly with the Forensic and Risk Advisory partners, providing greater exposure to all aspects of Forensic work and the opportunity for continued career progression both in the short and longer term.
Skills Experience
What we are looking for:
- Hold a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA
- Have between 1 to 4 years PQE within Forensic Accounting
- IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail
- The ability to analyse and interpret complex data
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial or technical concepts in a clear and simple way
- Integrity, impartiality, and strong sense of ethics and professional responsibility
- A methodical and logical approach to work
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and producing clear, structured reports within project deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
