Foreperson
Location: Egham, Staines
We are currently seeking a Foreperson to join our AMP8 Framework Team, working on site at Affinity Water’s Egham Water Treatment Works. The project involves the construction of a new Rapid Gravity Treatment Plant, alongside associated upgrades to the existing clean water treatment facility.
Roles & Responsibilities
Promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive working environment on site is central to this role. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervision & Team Support
- Supervising and supporting the site workforce and supply chain on a day-to-day basis.
- Site Coordination
- Leading and coordinating daily site-based construction activities.
- Managing labour, plant, and materials to meet programme and cost targets.
- Change & Quality Control
- Identifying, reporting, and supporting the management of changes in scope, design, programme, or commercial impact.
- Ensuring both temporary and permanent works align with approved designs and quality standards.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Completing RAMS, permits to work, site inductions, and safety briefings.
- Carrying out regular health and safety inspections and promoting best practices.
- Communication & Reporting
- Providing regular progress and performance updates to the Site Manager.
- Escalating technical challenges or unforeseen issues promptly and constructively.

About You
You’ll thrive in this role with a proactive, collaborative mindset, embodying our values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Collaboration. We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have a strong commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Demonstrate experience in heavy civils and/or the water sector.
- Demonstrate confidence reading drawings, specifications, programmes, and technical information.
- Have proven experience leading construction teams.
- Are equipped with strong communication skills.
Qualifications & Certifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- EUSR (Environmental Utilities Skills & Registration) National Water Hygiene
- EUSR Modules 1 & 2
- Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS)
- First Aid at Work
- Fire Marshal
- A relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
