Role Overview
You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Birmingham in where we are responsible for creating a vital 1.6-mile link road between the M54 and M6, complete with upgraded junctions and three new bridges. This direct motorway connection will reduce congestion and strengthen regional connectivity.
We are currently looking for a Foreperson who will be responsible for the management of all sub-contractors and supply chain partners. To protect the public and any 3rd parties from any risks created by our construction activities.

As The Foreperson, You Will
- Support the team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements. Ensure the coordination of works across all disciplines, including suppliers, subcontractors, and Skanska enabling teams.
- Ensure that all permits and documents related to specific tasks are briefed clearly to respective teams and recorded accordingly.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with subcontractors and supplier partners.
- Keep a full and accurate set of records including daily site diary, changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with all stakeholders.
- Take an active role in the engagement, support and management of community and stakeholder relationships.
- Promote wellbeing and mental health.
We Are Looking For
- Relevant CSCS Supervisor Gold Card or above, Highways Passport and SMSTS
- Experience of collaborative planning process and working in integrated teams
- Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Implement the relevant requirements of the SMS.
- Ensure that all RAMS and PERMITS are reviewed and are briefed to the work gang.
- Ensure that his/her operatives receive all Safety and Environmental Bulletins and Tool Box Talks, and are aware of any Safety and Environmental issues.
