Job Summary
Working as part of a multi-skilled Forge Crew.
Key Objectives of the Role
- H&S – Work in a safe and responsible manner and within FSG procedures. (For own and other people’s safety)
- Ensure ALL Quality procedures and processes are followed.
- Pre-shift checks as specified; for example: FLT, Hoist, Crane, etc.;
- Housekeeping (5s duties).
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks.
- Operate 5600T press and supporting roles within the cell which include:
- Operating the Andromat;
- Control room (furnace and forge management);
- Pyrometry checks;
- Carry out visual and dimensional checks on forgings and hard mark with identification;
- Working 1500T knockdown / trim and punch operations;
- Building dies and tooling for 5600T and 1500T presses;
- Ensure furnaces are loaded correctly with control plans completed;
- Training also to be given the 900T and 3000T presses.

The Applicant
- Experience of working in a forging/pressing environment would be beneficial.
- Must be flexible, willing to work across different roles and shift patterns.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office / Computer control systems.
- Worked in a medium to heaving factory environment.
- Have worked in a fast-paced and busy environment.
