Maldon, Essex | £14.50 per hour, increasing to £30,000 after 3 months

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract | First 3 Months via Prime Appointments

Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts

Prime Appointments are recruiting for a Forklift Driver to join an established food manufacturing business in Maldon.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, with the first 3 months through Prime Appointments. Following successful completion of the first 3 months, you will transfer onto the client's direct fixed-term contract, with your salary increasing to £30,000 per year.

There are a variety of shift patterns available, giving you the opportunity to develop within the business and potentially move between shifts depending on operational requirements.

Please note: due to the location, a full UK driving licence and your own transport are essential.

Duties Will Include

  • Operating a counterbalance forklift
  • Carrying out daily forklift and vehicle checks
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely
  • Moving stock around the warehouse and production areas
  • Preparing products for dispatch
  • Working with hauliers and internal teams
  • Completing relevant paperwork accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene
  • General warehouse duties as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A valid counterbalance forklift licence
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience
  • Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing would be an advantage
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Flexibility to work different shift patterns

Working hours

Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week

Flexibility to work across the different shift patterns is required, although your regular shift pattern will be discussed with you.
