Job Specification

To load and unload containers/tanks from incoming/outgoing transport and to move containers/tanks around the yard as required. Contribute to maintaining business system integrity by booking units in/out of site and each location. In addition carry out general work around the site as requested in line with training provided.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To load and unload containers/tanks from transport in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Swire Forklift Code of Practice at all times.
  • Using electronic platform record units being receipted/despatched on site as well as ensure that units being relocated on site are transacted to ensure system accuracy and integrity.
  • To carry out general work around the site as required including housekeeping and container maintenance.
  • The safe use and maintenance of the fork lift truck and other company equipment in line with Swire Forklift Code of Practice.
  • The safety of others on site, especially those in the vicinity of fork lift truck movements.
  • The jobholder will work closely with the Yard Lead to co-ordinate the movement and loading/unloading of containers.
  • The jobholder will also work with the other forklift drivers in order to coordinate truck movements in a safe and efficient manner.
