Role Profile - BH1 Forklift Driver
In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load and unload vehicles and parts within our facilities. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining efficient operations and supporting our commitment to recycling excellence.
Location: Poole Site, BH12
Salary: £33,550 (includes £3,050 shift premium)
Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
We operate on a swing shift pattern from 6:00am to 3:00pm and then 3:00pm to 12:00am on a week on, week off basis.
Reporting to: BH1 Operations and Distribution Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Storing salvage vehicles in racking systems
- Locating vehicles for retrieval using tablet software
- Retrieving vehicles cleared for breaking and auction sales
- Assisting with the movement of vehicles throughout the yard
- Loading and unloading of vehicles from large vehicle transporters
- Working within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure compliance with environmental, and health and safety policy and regulations, including manual handling and safe systems of work guidelines
- Adhering to best Practice Health & Safety guidelines
- Ensuring your Forklift is safe, clean and in working order reporting issues to your manager
- Maintain good housekeeping practices ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy

Experience & Essential Qualities:
- Forklift experience essential with working knowledge of moving 2+ ton vehicles or similar loads
- Experience of working on uneven ground
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work with a high level of care and accuracy
- A commitment to health and safety
- A conscientious approach to their work
- Flexible approach to tasks and desire to work as part of a team
- Reach truck licence an advantage
- Must have experience using either Reach, Bendi or Man-Up.
